Pearl

Pearl came to me in 1999, from "second hand" - in her previous home she was unwanted gift. She was my first dog; I was waiting for a long time for her. She was to be a "white wolf", but has grown up into the cute yellow mixbreed dog, a little in german shepherd type.

She was my best friend when I was twelve and the same when I was already an adult. She acompanied me in all the important moments of my life; these happy, and these difficult.

She had the intelligence and willingness to learn new things typical for shepherds; she understood lots of words and performed commands with enthusiasm. Energetic, but very obedient; she loved retrieving, swimming and eating of course. Pearl was my patient teacher, who gave mi so much knowledge about dog behavior, training and taking care of dogs; many things we can't find in books, magazines or the internet.

Pearl suffered from hypothyroidism and and took on permanent medication. In her old age she had cancer of the peritoneum - she died on my hands in 18 May 2012; few months before her 13th birthday. I will always remember her as my first dog, so special for all dog lovers.
